Registers victims of federal offenders. Registration is not automatic. Victims wishing to receive information must first register with either the Parole Board of Canada (PBC) or Correctional Service of Canada (CSC).Being registered with Victim Services allows victims to receive: Important dates and information throughout the duration of an offender’s sentence Information on different types of absences, transfers and releases Parole eligibility Information about the offender’s correctional plan and progress Information about Correctional Service of Canada’s victim-offender mediation services.
Allows victims to provide a statement to Correctional Service of Canada and the Parole Board of Canada. Provides access to the Correctional Service of Canada’s Victim’s Portal. Accepts complaints from victims who believe their rights under the Canadian Victim Bill of Rights have been infringed, violated or denied. Offers a collection of resources for victims of crime.
