Operates the 24-hour Vancouver Island Crisis Line which provides public access for mental health crisis response services throughout Vancouver Island. Through the website, offers online emotional support with Crisis Chat Services, available from 6 pm to 10 pm at www.vicrisis.ca. Also offers Crisis Text Services, accessible through mobile devices from 6 pm to 10 pm. Provides public access to an online community resource database, and education intended to promote community wellness and to reduce the incidence of suicide. Serves all of Vancouver Island, the islands of the Georgia Strait, and the mainland communities between Powell River and Rivers Inlet. Accredited with the American Association of Suicidology (AAS).
