Freya was galvanized by the revelations of the #MeToo movement in 2017, which led her to co-found Aftermetoo the following year, with the goal of creating an official institution in Canada dedicated to advancing what #MeToo started. Freya is a Toronto-based actor, producer, and mother of three. From 2013 to 2019 she was co-chair of the Toronto ACTRA Women’s Committee. She is co-producer of Dangerous Dust productions, and stars in its award-winning feature-length dark comedy A Brand New You, as well as in Fucking My Way Back Home, a film about the sex trade in Toronto. Freya is also a voice actor who has done work for video games, commercials, and cartoons, and is a head coach at the Academy of Lions in Toronto.
